Hannah is surving First Grade!

Hannah made it through her first week as a first grader! She is in Miss Christensen's Class at Fox Hollow. When I asked Hannah what she thought about her teacher her reply was, "well, she is skinner than I expected." She really likes her teacher and has met some new kids in her class. She still has a hard time remembering what she did while she was gone all day. Paul asks Hannah at dinner every day what she did. The things she always remembers is lunch and resecess.

The first week of school has been a bit challenging for Hannah. She has been given a fun opportunity to participate in the Oklahoma play, but the rehearsals have gone til eleven or eleven thirty. Once we get home and get makeup cleaned up it is close to midnight before she gets to sleep. Lucky for both of us she goes to school on the late scheduale. On Friday she woke up at 8:45. This just so happens to be the very same time the bus comes. I decided it just isn't that big of a deal to take her school, so the quickly got ready and had some breakfast. She made it to school without being too crabby. The late nights have made Hannah and myself a little cranky, but it's not something we do all the time. This new week we will be performing rather than rehearsals and luckily we should be getting home earlier! Hannah has done a great job going to school and being involved in the play.
Hannah is a fun girl that loves people. She is making lots of friends at school. This morning was a little difficult to go off to school. She wanted to stay home and play with Connor and Bonnie. I'm grateful that even with the chance to have so many other friends she still longs for time to spend with her brother and sister.

You were SO GREAT in Oklahoma!!! And Hannah was just darling! (We went Sat. night and loved it!) I don't know how you're keeping up with the schedule, but it sure made for a great night for us!

I was excited to have Hannah and Halle in the same class this year again. Halle was excited too. I'm sure I'll see you at some class parties!
